Who we are
Breaking Bread for Kids, Corporation (BBFK) is
a 501 ©(3) non-profit organization which was
established – as a result of the mass
destruction caused by several violent storms
(tornadoes, floods, and massive mud slides)
that ravaged Haiti with the intent of improving
economic/social service issues. Many families
have been negatively affected by these storms
by the way of death, homelessness, illness,
disease, and hunger, most of which are unable
to function because they have little or nor
resources to meet their needs. BBFK shall
facilitate the donation of drinking water,
clothing, food distribution via cafeterias, free
medical screening and safe recreational
activities for children and teenagers that are
economically underprivileged and/or residing in
depressed areas throughout Haiti.
Additionally, BBFK shall provide nutrition and
vitamin deficiency information to improve
overall recipient health. Due to the severity of
damage sustained from storms Haiti is in
desperate need of these services.
BBFK has orchestrated a plan to fulfill the
organization’s mission to establish and maintain
a strong relationship with the youth of today so
that they may become leaders of tomorrow.
BBFK shall raise and apply for funding in order
to build and maintain a distribution center. The
distribution center shall house a medical clinic
with two screening rooms, a kitchen with
adjacent cafeteria, administrative offices, and a
recreation center with two recreational rooms.
The organization proposes to employ a
minimum of sixty (60) qualified residents to
serve in various positions i.e., medical
personnel, administrative personnel, clerical
support staff, cooks, kitchen attendants,
recreational advisors, janitors, truck drivers,
and grounds maintenance workers. The
employment of Haiti residents hall also lend to
improved economic status in impoverished
areas. |
